Kinder - 2nd grade

Supplies:

  • Colorful construction paper

  • Crayons, markers or colored pencils

  • Scissors

  • Glue

** You can also edit this lesson and use magazines instead of drawing on construction paper. Just cut out different face parts out of magazines and then glue them onto your paper with your drawn out head.**

Steps:

  1. Cut (4-6) geometric shapes out of the construction paper. (square, rectangle, triangle, ect.) Make them different sizes too!

  2. On each of these shapes draw a part of the face on them (nose, eyes, mouth, ears). Make them fun and don’t forget to make the eyes look different.

  3. On a separate piece of paper draw the outline of a head, you can add a neck and/or hair too if you want.

  4. Glue on each of the face’s parts onto the head.

Step:

  1. Take your wire hanger and bend it around into an abstract shape.

  2. Cut off one leg of the panty hose, then cover your wire hanger shape with it. Make sure you stretch it tightly on there. tie the end of the pantyhose and cut off the extra.

  3. Now paint a fun, colorful, and abstract face onto the pantyhose. Be creative, put eyes where they're not suppose to go or had an extra nose! ** Paint will bleed through the pantyhose so make sure you have something under it, like paper, to protect you surface!**
